We've been flying drones commercially since the technology first became available. Since then the work has ranged from a feature film to large-scale events to brand and documentary productions. Most of it happens as part of a bigger shoot, with the aerial planned alongside everything else rather than added on at the end.
A good aerial shot usually doesn't look like a drone shot.
There's a place for the big, obvious aerial move — a wide reveal of a landmark, the scale of a crowd, an establishing shot that needs altitude. When a project calls for that, we shoot it.
More often, the aerial that works best is the one you barely notice. It moves the way a camera on a jib or a crane moves — rising into a shot, finding an angle the ground can't reach, then letting the story carry on. A lot of the job is knowing which kind of shot a project needs, and when the drone should stay in the case.

Creative Images, working for Mindpool Live, captured aerial footage for Harley-Davidson Homecoming & Summerfest, including crowd shots of more than 70,000 people during the live concert. The flights were coordinated with local police, allowing us to safely capture powerful aerial images of some of Wisconsin’s largest live events.
LARGE-SCALE EVENTS
The first drone flown on Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport property
Milwaukee Mitchell International hired us to shoot aerial footage for an internal promotional film. It was the first time a drone had been legally flown on the airport's property.
Every flight was coordinated live with the airport control tower — flying near aircraft at the gates, around the tower itself, checking in with controllers before each pass to confirm the timing worked on their end. Getting the sunset right through the tower glass took several flights, each one cleared by the tower.
